30th June 2019

The end of the Nursery year is always a busy time!

Last week, we put on our wellies and walked along a muddy Mill Lane to visit Middle Farm. There we met Farmer Alan, who kindly showed us round. It was great to find out what a real farm looks, sounds and smells like! The children loved feeding the cows with hay and climbing the farm gates as we watched them go into the field. We even saw a tractor drive past. We are now getting really excited about our class trip to Green Dragon Eco Farm. What else will we see?

At this time of year, we are also saying many hellos and goodbyes. New children have come for visits and we look forward to them starting in September. The older Nursery children have visited their new classes and are happy and excited about their next steps. We wish them continued success.

It is also time to say a big goodbye to Sue Sanders, who is retiring after 22 years at Mill Lane. Sue has been a fantastic member of our team and she will be greatly missed. Fortunately, Sue will still come and help us at Nursery, so we know we will see her lots! We are delighted to welcome Bev Hardstaff as our new staff member and look forward to another fun and busy year ahead!

Have a great summer everyone. More Windmill news in September.
