31st March 2018

It's Spring time! Our colourful paintings and stickings inspired the design and planting of the troughs at the new homes on Mill Lane and we really enjoyed visiting the site to help get the garden ready.

Just before the end of term, we spotted 2 long furry ears at our window – it was the Easter bunny! The children loved finding the eggs hidden in the garden and they were just right for the chocolate nests we had made with Mrs. Sanders. Yummy!

After Easter, we hope to do some more planting. Our growing area is ready with the soil dug and compost added from the wormery by our keen gardeners.  We will need to do a survey to find our favourite fruits, vegetables and flowers and then we can start planting! We also can’t wait for our eggs and incubator to arrive. How do we look after them? What happens when they hatch? What does a young chick need? We are so excited to find out! Please look at our website www.windmillnursery.co.uk for egg and chick updates!

We would also like to invite young children and families to join us at midday on Thursday 17th May for ‘Windmill Nursery’s Street Party’ to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Please bring a packed lunch and wear red, white and blue! We hope you can join us.
